Trenchless Solutions: Smart, Efficient, and Cost-Effective

Our innovative trenchless technology allows us to repair and replace pipes without the hassle and disruption of traditional excavation methods. This means:

  • Less Damage: Minimally invasive techniques preserve landscaping, driveways,
    and sidewalks.
  • Faster Repairs: Reduced downtime and faster project completion means less
    disruption to your life.
  • Cost Savings: Avoid expensive excavation and restoration costs

Our Trenchless Expertise:

  • Pipe Lining: A durable and long-lasting solution that involves inserting a liner into damaged pipes, creating a seamless, leak-proof barrier.
  • Pipe Bursting: A fast and efficient method to replace existing pipes with new ones, utilizing a bursting head that pushes the old pipe aside while pulling a new one in place.
  • Directional Drilling: Installing new pipes underground without disturbing the surface, ideal for difficult terrain and challenging environments.

Trenchless sewer line replacement is a modern, innovative method used to repair or replace sewer lines with minimal disruption to the surface or existing landscape. This technique can be beneficial in  residential, commercial, and urban settings where preserving the  infrastructure, landscaping, and environment is important. There are several methods of trenchless sewer line replacement, but two common ones are using a liner and pipe bursting. Here’s an explanation of each:

 1. Liner Method (Cured-in-Place Pipe – CIPP)

 Process:

  • Inspection & Cleaning: The process begins with a thorough video inspection of the existing sewer line to assess its condition. The pipe is then cleaned to remove any debris, roots, or blockages.
  • Liner Insertion: A flexible liner coated with a special resin is inserted into the existing pipe. This liner is typically made of a felt or fiberglass material.
  • Inflation & Curing: Once in place, the liner is inflated so that it presses against the inner walls of the pipe. The resin is then cured (hardened) using hot water, steam, or UV light, depending on the system used
  • Result: After curing, the liner acts as a new pipe inside the old one, sealing any cracks, joints, and holes. This new pipe is durable and can last for several decades.

Advantages:

  • Minimal excavation is required, leading to less disruption
  • Can be used on pipes with various diameters.
  • Relines pipes, which improves flow and prevents leaks

 2. Pipe Bursting Method

 Process:

  • Initial Access Points: Two small pits or access points are excavated at the ends of the pipe section that needs to be replaced
  • Bursting & Replacement: The process uses a bursting head, which fractures the existing pipe while simultaneously pulling in a new pipe behind it. The new pipe can be made of materials like high-density polyethylene (HDPE)
  • Equipment Use: A winch pulls the bursting head and new pipe through the old pipe. The bursting head is designed to break apart the old pipe and push outward, creating enough space for the new pipe.

Advantages:

  • Suitable for severely damaged pipes where lining isn’t feasible.
  • Allows for the replacement of pipes with a larger diameter if needed.
  • Like the liner method, there’s minimal surface disruption, preserving landscaping and structures
Both methods are effective, but the choice between them usually depends on the condition of the existing pipe, the extent of damage, and specific project requirements. Consulting with a professional to conduct an initial assessment will determine the best method for the situation.
